All Knotty is an amazing log cabin with log furnishings, complete kitchen setups to dine in, mountain views from the private hot tub on the back porch, and a charcoal grill too. It has two levels. The main entry is wheelchair accessible with living, dining, bedroom and bath on the same level. The gametoom/sleeping loft is above the bedroom and bath area. The cabin is decorated for the holiday season too.

Misty Hollow is a mountainside subdivision of 20 cabins sparingly sited on or about one acre plots. Neighboring cabins are visible through the tree canopy. The asphalt road has a 10-12 degree incline . No off road vehicle required as full size service vehicles are able to navigate it well. Downtown Gatlinburg fun is 6.2 miles away. Center of Pigeon Forge is 8.1. Dollywood Parks Blvd is 10.4 miles. Great Smoky Mountain National Park: Sugarlands Visitor Ctr is 9.2 miles Gatlinburg Trail Trailhead (7.3 miles), Twin Creeks Trail Trailhead (7.5 miles), Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook (10.1 miles), Trillium Gap Trail Trailhead (12.0 miles), Cove Mountain Trail Trailhead (12.4 miles), Laurel Falls Trailhead (16.4 miles), Appalachian Trail to Indian Gap (21.8 miles)

These rental conditions are for the duration of the rental period with no exceptions. It is without prejudice and a desire for good guest, neighbor, owner, and HOA relations and stay, we set forth these conditions and clarifications. The cabin located is in Misty Hollow subdivision of Gatlinburg Tennessee. Its residents must abide by rules for the safekeeping of all. The cabin does not host events of any type. It is a residential experience of room and board to be enjoyed in the foothills setting of the Smoky Mountains. The maximum guest capacity is 6 (six). If the number of guests exceeds the capacity, the renter will be asked to reduce the number or leave with the entire party and forfeit the payment due to breaking the capacity rules. Jackalopia is not a bunk house. No smoking, no vaping, no candles, open fires on the decks or grounds. A park style grill is available for use. No other grills are to be brought within or on the cabin decks. Damages due to fire or smoke will be charged to the renter. Conditions that could start a forest fire are forbidden on this property. No open fires. Stay current of the local TN Wildfire Conditions. Noise. State Statue 11-402 Unnecessary Noise Standard (A) General. Subject to the provisions of this section any loud noise or any noise, which either annoys, disturbs, injures, or endangers the comfort, repose, health, peace or safety of others, within the city limits shall be prohibited. With that, all outside music should not be amplified. Outdoor noise to end by 10pm. The hot tub is wonderful experience on the back deck. The programing is set of optimum function. However, there is the guest that feels the need to reprogram it. A $200 fee will be charged for the service technician to come out and reset the programs. It is only a hot tub. No cold tub. No bubble spa. Nothing but a simple enjoyment while on the back deck. The fireplace in the cabin is LP gas and seasonally lit. The timer on the wall next to the mantle are the only means of turning the fireplace on and off. The fireplaces in the bedroom are by code, with a lower flame. A solid screen is installed to prevent manipulation of the artificial logs and safety of humans. Wildlife in the area is just a glimpse away. Noise pollution, human food, and garbage are not conducive for a healthy wildlife outcome. The loud noises scare the birds away as does the excess lighting. We keep the pathways lit for safety. The bears love our food as much as we do. They search in cars, trucks, picnic sites, and open cabins for an easy meal. Keep doors locked and food put away. Trash should be keep indoors or in the bear proof bin. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Commission Proclamation is that Feeding of the Black Bears is Prohibited. Proclamation 00-17, August 23, 2000 Pursuant to the authority granted by Title 70, Tennessee code Annotated, and Sections 70-1- 302 and 70-5-101 thereof, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency hereby proclaims the following regulations pertaining to the feeding of black bears: Sections I. Black Bear Feeding Prohibited It is unlawful to feed a black bear intentionally or knowingly or intentionally or knowingly leave food or garbage in a manner that attracts bears. It is also unlawful to engage in any indirect of incidental feeding of bears if the activity occurs after the notice from either the City of Gatlinburg or a law enforcement officer thereof or from an employee of the Tennessee Wildlife resources Agency to the person responsible for such indirect or incidental feeding. Such notification shall include the type of activity which is prohibited. Further such activity by the responsible person after notice shall be a violation of this section. Section II. Areas Closed to the Feeding of Black Bears For the purpose of this proclamation, areas closed to the feeding of bears include the Corporate Limits of the City of Gatlinburg and Chalet Village North Subdivision, as posted. A more complete description may be found on file in the office of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency in Nashville, Tennessee. Penalty Violation of this law is a Class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $50 and a court cost of $180.50. In addition, the punishment may involve community service. Trash Ordinance – We love our beautiful clean forest and the wild life that roams it. HOWEVER… Gatlinburg City Ordinance 2188 Section 8-111 Animal Resistant Garbage Collection Devices From and after June 1, 2000, all garbage, containers, dumpsters or equipment used to store garbage, not otherwise located within an approved enclosure prior to municipal or private pick-up in the areas described as follows: The entire area within the city limits on the west side of the Foothills Parkway: the area north of the National prong of the Little Pigeon River between Parkway and the Foothills Parkway boundary bounded on the north by LeConte Street and the Skyland Park and the Winfield Heights Subdivisions: the entire area between the National Park Service boundary on the South and Southeast city limits from Low Gap Road on the east and to the South of Highway 321 and Parkway, and as shown on a map dated December, 1998 on file at the offices of the City Manager and incorporated herein by reference, shall be of a type which shall be resistant to animals being able to open, overturn or remove garbage from them. Each type of container shall be of a design approved by the City Building Official. This requirement shall not apply to containers that are also enclosed within fences or other enclosures which do not allow entry by scavenging animals or are located inside a structure such as a house, building or other enclosed structure and are taken to a City or County approved garbage collection site by the owner. — Trash not put in the appropriate container then gets cited and requires additional labor to clean up the mountainside will be charged to the guest that didn’t use care. Section 8-118 Penalty Every person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $500 per offense. Each day that a violation shall occur shall be a separate offense.
